It's a dilemma to decide the major at the college. Many people prefer science and technology because they consider more about their future or the functions of the subjects. But from my opinion,it's worthy that we attach great attention to humanity.
Firstly, majoring in science can give you specific skills. At the same time,humanity can widen your sight of the world,provide you with much more different ways of analyzing questions and enrich your viewpoints.Humanity not just gives you knowledge about culture and art but also cultivates your interest leading you to have the characteristic temperament that makes you out of the ordinary.
Besides,as the old saying goes,'if the nationality could not mourn their history,they would not have a brighter future.'It's a big puzzle confusing the world that how can we pass the achievements in ancient or contemporary era to the next generation.Humanity can promise people an overview of history,philosophy and literature all around the world at all times.Nevertheless,science is always keeping updating on the basis of denying the theory we trust before.Thus it can be seen that science makes people smart while learning humanity can make people wise.
Lastly,no body is an island on the world.It`s a tool full of power that communicating with others is appropriately and properly.Language style is magical and useful which can improve your impression to others at the first sight.But humanity can enhance the speach skills without obvious sign through daily life.Usually you may get much more easily to get along with someone who majors in art and literature.
In the end,science and humanity are both the basics of our world and value view.Neither should they be overemphasized at the expense of the other.We should treat them fairly.
